One More Month and November Trip

As of yesterday we are officially ONE MONTH away until I check-in to my DCP apartment.... ahhhh! The past few months have flown by and it seems so crazy that I leave Robinson in 4 weeks! I've filled out my housing registration, finally got all of my Onboarding paperwork finished, and am starting to make packing lists! I can't believe it is so close!

I recently went on a trip to Walt Disney World with my best friend and her family so I wanted to share some fun memories and pictures from that trip. It was so surreal being on Main Street, USA with her and realizing that we are moving there. Definitely teared up seeing the castle in Magic Kingdom realizing this will soon be home. This part will probably be pretty lengthy, it's mostly just for my memories to look back on.

Tuesday, November 26-
We left around 3:30 to head to Indy. Our flight left late so we got to the airport, ate dinner, then boarding the plane. We landed at MCO around midnight, got on the Magical Express, and headed to Wilderness Lodge. We were on property around 1:30 am and got to our room around 2. Audrey's grandma, Denise, had brought a cake (on the plane!!) to celebrate her Aunt Brooke's birthday so we ate some of the cake then headed to bed.

Wednesday, November 27-
We slept in a little on Wednesday because of getting in so late. We got ready, went to the Wilderness Lodge Lobby to look around at all the decorations, then got on a boat to the Contemporary Resort for brunch. We had a super yummy brunch at Chef Mickey's. We had so much fun meeting Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Pluto, and Donald!

The Big Cheese finding out I was coming to work for him!

After brunch we looked around the Contemporary Resort then headed on the Monorail to Magic Kingdom!! We looked at some stores on Main Street, watched Philharmagic, tasted some LuFou's Brew, then headed over to Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. We then got a small snack then headed to watch the Country Bear Jamboree. Then we headed to ride the best attraction- Splash Mountain!!!

After Splash we headed over to Big Top Souvenirs for a treat. A cast member, Lindley, made some magic for Audrey and I and gave us a free slushy for being accepted into the DCP! We then went and rode Peter Pan's Flight.

After Peter Pan, Audrey, Taylor and I watched the castle lighting show where Elsa turned the castle into ice. It was so cute! We then rode Space Ranger Spin where Taylor and I earned Galactic Hero (meaning we maxed out the score)!! We got dinner then went to camp out for our spot for Happily Ever After. We played lots of Heads Up to help pass time! We watched Happily Ever After (THE BEST) then picked up a Pirates of the Caribbean fastpass so we all went to ride. Audrey, Taylor, and I tried to go ride Splash again but it got evacuated right before we were loading.

We got a snack (finally got a churro!!) and rode the Peoplemover, Space Ranger Spin x2, Haunted Mansion, and Seven Dwarf's Mine Train. We then closed down Main Street, USA and were the last people to leave Magic Kingdom. An empty Magic Kingdom never gets old, especially with the dream lights at the end.

Thursday, November 28-
We were up bright and early on day 2 for breakfast at Whispering Canyon! Our waitress, MT, was hilarious and made the breakfast so fun! After breakfast, Audrey and I took advantage of the massage chairs in the lobby then headed back to Magic Kingdom! We rode the Peoplemover, Carousel of Progress, Space Mountain, and Splash Mountain in the morning. On Splash we even managed to fit three to a row! We then took a Minnie Van to Disney Springs for lunch. We ate lunch at BOATHOUSE (which was delicious!!), visited Amorettes after having one of their cakes for Brooke's birthday, then walked through the Trail of Trees display.

After Disney Springs, we headed back to Wilderness then Audrey and I decided to take an impromptu trip to Hollywood Studios to try and ride Tower of Terror. It was seriously the best time! We only had an hour before the park closed so it became a challenge to see how much we could get done! We ended up riding Tower, meeting Buzz Lightyear, and riding Toy Story Mania all within an hour. While in line for TSM, we picked up a fastpass for the Jingle Cruise in Magic Kingdom so we ran (literally) to catch a bus to MK. We rode Jingle Cruise (and had such a fun Skipper!), took some pictures on Main Street, then I got my first Casey's hotdog, and we headed back to Wilderness.

A late night trip to the hotel meant we took a little snooze in the back row ;)

Friday, November 29-
On Friday we had another early morning where we rope dropped (meaning we were there at park opening) Hollywood Studios. We were escorted by Cast Members back to Toy Story Land where we got on the "first dog of the day" on Slinky Dog Dash! It was so neat to be the first riders!! We got off Slinky and went to Toy Story Mania, rode Tower of Terror twice, Rockin' Roller Coaster, back to Tower, back to Rockin', then headed towards Galaxy's Edge. It was such a successful morning!!!

We rode Star Tours before heading into Galaxy's Edge where Brooke was chosen to be the Rebel Spy! We went into Galaxy's Edge which was so cool! We walked around a bit and tried the Blue and Green milk (definitely team blue!). We then went and watched Muppet Vision 3D and the Frozen Sing Along! Then we left Studios and took the new Disney Skyliner to Art of Animation. We ate lunch in the food court then looked around the resort for a bit! We then went back to Wilderness to rest for a bit. That evening we headed to Magic Kingdom to get on a boat to the Grand Floridian. We went and looked the the Gingerbread House and all the decorations! We took a Lyft to Yacht Club Resort and ate dinner at Crew's Cup Lounge. After dinner we walked over to Epcot and attempted to get out magnets (but the line was too long) so we got back on the Skyliner to go back to Studios. We ran back to Galaxy's Edge in hopes that we could ride Smuggler's Run. We got in line about 5 minutes before park close so we got to ride! After Smuggler's Run, Audrey and I went to meet Kyle Pallo (a Disney vlogger) at work then went back to Wilderness.

Saturday, November 30-
We got up and headed to Epcot on Saturday! We finally got our Passholder magnets, then rode Test Track and met Mickey, Minnie, and Goofy at the new Character Spot location. We then all rode Soarin' and Living with the Land, got a Mickey Oreo Cheesecake at Sunshine Seasons and rode Nemo. We then went and watched the EPCOT experience (showing all the exciting things coming to Epcot since Future World is all under construction) and Voices of Liberty, then headed to lunch.

We ate lunch at Tutto Italia which was incredible!! Our waiter was great and our food was delicious!! After lunch we went to watch the American Adventure and went to the Candlelight Processional. I had chills almost the entire time of the Processional. It was so neat to hear the Christmas Story be read by the voice of Mulan, while also hearing the choir and orchestra. Definitely one of my favorite parts of the trip! We walked through the rest of World Showcase then Audrey, Taylor, and I went to ride Soarin', Nemo, and Living with the Land again. We then went back to Wilderness to pack up some of our stuff and headed back out to Magic Kingdom to ride Splash Mountain (where we got our own log!!!), Haunted Mansion, and Buzz before heading back for the night.

Sunday, December 1-
We had a super early morning Sunday to get some pictures in the Wilderness Lobby before heading to rope drop Flight of Passage. We got on the attraction about 20 minutes before the park even opened!! Then rode Na'vi River Journey, Expedition Everest, DINOSAUR, watched Tough to be a Bug, went back for our Flight of Passage fastpass then got lunch at Satuli Canteen. Audrey, Taylor and I headed back to Expedition Everest after lunch where Audrey rode it twice, I rode it three times, and Taylor rode it 5 times! We then took a bus to our new resort, All Star Movies, since we had to switch resorts for our last night.

After a small ordeal trying to get our suitcases, they finally arrived so Audrey and I took it upon ourselves to be our own bellhops and took our bags to our room. We were finally able to register for DCP housing (!!!!!) and request to link as roommates! We then all changed into our Christmas Party shirts and headed to Magic Kingdom for Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party!!

We got to MK before the general public had to leave so we got our first party cookie and Audrey, Brandi, and I met Peter Pan then went to ride Under the Sea. We then all met the 7 Dwarfs, got some dinner then watched the Once Upon a Christmastime Parade. We had the absolute best seats with a straight view down main street and getting to see all the snow! We then went to watch Minnie's Wonderful Christmastime Firework Show and rode Space Mountain with the Christmas overlay. After Space, Denise, Brandi, Audrey, and I went to meet Captain Jack Sparrow, Moana, and Mary Poppins and Bert. We ended the night by getting a few group pictures in front of the castle and headed back to our resort.

Monday, December 2-
After a late night at the party, we all slept in Monday before heading to Epcot for our lunch reservation at Garden Grill. We got to meet Mickey, Pluto, Chip and Dale which was super fun! After lunch we took the monorail to the TTC (Transportation and Ticket Center) and Magic Kingdom. Brandi, Audrey, Taylor, and I went to ride Pirates, then Taylor, Audrey, and I went on one last ride on Splash (since it will be closed the first month and a half of our program).

We then left Magic Kingdom so we could go look at the DCP housing complex's. We just drove by them since they are secured and you have to have an ID to get in, but it was still nice to be able to see the area where we'll be living! We went back to Disney property and ended our trip with dinner on Sunset Boulevard and a ride on Tower of Terror (which had such a good sequence!!). We then got some hot chocolate from Joffrey's and headed back to the resort. We took a Minnie Van back to MCO then flew home.

Whew, that was long! It was such a great trip with lots of new memories!! I cannot believe I get to move here in just under a month!!

Have a Magical Day!!
xoxo, Hannah
