One Month in Florida!

Image
This post is pretty delayed but I wanted to recap my first month here in Florida! Its been incredible! I won't write about every single day but write about some of my favorite things that happened.  Overall recap- My first month flew by in a flash. It was filled with finally becoming a cast member, getting adjusted to Orlando traffic, earning my ears, eating fun places, and of course going to the parks all the time! It's been an absolute blast here and I can't believe it's already been a month!  The best days-  Check in day - There is no way to put into words the emotions that came with check-in day. It was so nice to finally be in Florida and to meet my roommates! That night Audrey, Ellie, Bri, and I all went to Rainforest Cafe in Disney Springs which was a blast! Traditions - Again... no words. Finally becoming a cast member was a dream come true. Being in the park for the first time as a cast member and watching Happily Ever After that night felt just a

COVID- 19 Update

Last weekend I had to make a very hard post regarding how COVID-19 was affecting my program with Disney. Here were the events leading up to that post. Everything seemed to be closing around the world due to the Coronavirus, however there was absolutely no talk of Disney closing at work. Friday I worked in the morning and got told by a leader to keep checking my schedule because I would probably be deployed somewhere for the two weeks off, however, I knew that night there was a union meeting to decide what the next steps were. Saturday we got some pretty shocking news none of us wanted to hear. This was my original post on Fac

For Traditions the participants learn all about the history of the Disney Company and why they hold their traditions so tightly to the experience of visiting Walt Disney World.  The class was about 4.5 hours long with so many fun and exciting things! When we got into the classroom there was a red box in the middle of the table that we were told NOT to touch. A little later in the class were were finally allowed to open the boxes and they held some Mickey ears for us all!!  We then got to learn all about the four keys Disney uses for their success in customer service. Safety, Courtesy, Show, and Efficiency (in that order) are the values that Disney prioritizes. Then to see the four keys in action, they took us on a trip to Disney's Magic Kingdom. We got to see backstage for the first time and got to walk in the Utilidors (the undergroun
